1.Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera)

It is the herb commonly known as winter cherry in the West. It has several positive properties for the human body, including the treatment of joint pain. It can be used as a healthy drink mixed with Black cherry juice in a glass of water. One must drink at least twice a day for beneficial relief of pain in the joints.

2. Lemon juice (citrus juice)

It is also beneficial in cases of joint pain. One can make the Drink by mixing two tablespoons of lemon juice and one teaspoon of honey in a cup of honey hot water. Drinking twice a day is good for curing joint pain. The other remedy with a mixture of apple cider vinegar and honey dissolved in a small glass of warm water also gives a good result.

3. Guggulu (Commiphora Mukul rubber)

It is the more effect grass used in Ayurveda for the treatment of arthritis. Guggulu has great rejuvenation, cleaning, medicinal and healing properties. It is Guggulu perhaps more common herbs than any other herb used in Ayurveda. The types Kapha t (obese) and Vata (underweight) can get the most benefit from this herb. Guggulu has properties that can increase the number of white blood cells and dis-infected body fluids. It has been widely used for various health ailments, such as lumbago, gout, and rheumatism.

4. Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale)

Dandelion is rich in magnesium; the necessary element which is responsible for proper bone mineralization. The Use of dandelion can make bones stronger and protects them from pain.

5. Celery (Apium graveolens)

It is also used as an effective remedy for rheumatism and gout as both of it cause joint pain. The alkali content in Celery makes it very effective for the treatment of joint pain.

6. Garlic (Allium sativum)

Garlic is a very effective remedy for treating joint pains one can take five to six cloves of garlic every morning to seek relief.

7.Ginger (Zingiber officinale)

Ginger is also one of the best methods for treating joint pains. Should be included freely in the daily diet of the person. Tea made with ginger is also beneficial.

8.Banyan (Ficus bengalensis)

This tree produces a sap similar to latex rubbers that are generally used as an external application for the joints. The application of this latex rubber can ease joint pains after a few regular applications and massages.

Diet for Knee Joint Pain

Foods that are easily digestible and do not make wind or gas are generally prescribed by Ayurveda below are some foods that help to fight against knee pain.

1. Ginger

Ginger can decrease inflammation and it has been scientifically studied. The people with osteoarthritis felt significantly better after eating a lot of ginger. Not only does it help cure the aches in your knees, but it is also useful when you have an upset stomach.

2. Soybeans

research has shown that soy can actually cause less discomfort for those with arthritis in their knees. Soybeans are rich in isoflavones, which are plant hormones that help reduce inflammation.

3. Orange Juice

Drinking a glass of orange juice provides about 25 percent more Vitamin C than eating a whole orange so remember you drink juice rather than eating whole. Vitamin C is very good for knee arthritis.

4. Fruits

The main fruits that can help to relieve knee pain are mango, kiwi, papaya orange, and grapefruit. These fruits are rich in vitamin C, which helps researchers say to ease the pain.

5. Fish

Fatty acids in fish can prevent inflammation in the knee and also block the proteins that erode the cartilage of the knee. Fish such as salmon and mackerel are rich in fatty acids.

Food to Avoid During Knee Pain

  • One must avoid eating food that is hot, spicy, sweets, fried foods, etc.
  • One must avoid wind-forming foods such as potatoes, spinach, and cauliflower, etc.
  • One must avoid excessive intake of white sugar, tea, alcohol, coffee, yogurt, chocolate, cocoa, etc.
  • One must avoid excessive consumption of snuff, staying up late at night, sleeping during the day, and having mental tensions such as fear, stress, worry, anxiety, etc.

NOTE : In several cases, it takes more medicine, especially when the pain is unbearable. The Consumption of pills against inflammation or injection is must. The medical examiner may also offer various tests to determine the core of the pain by way of  X-Ray and MRI  to see the exact location.
