Vrikshamla is a flowering plant that has yellow oval fruits, it grows in the southwest region of India. In Ayurveda, the fruit of vrikshamla is used to reduce weight. The plant contains hydroxyl ammonium acid, which has the ability to block the production of a special enzyme citrate lyase.

This enzyme is responsible for the formation of fat cells in the body. In addition to that, the fruits of Vrkshamla also help to normalize the level of cholesterol in the blood, reduce appetite, and raise the level of the hormone serotonin, responsible for controlling the feeling of hunger.

2. Triphala (Triphala)

Triphala is a powerful mixture of the fruits of the three trees, called Amalaki or Indian gooseberry (Phyllanthus Emblica), Bibhitaki (Terminalia belerica), and Haritaki (Terminalia chebula).

It is one of the most famous Ayurvedic formulas that effectively remove constipation, nourishes the body tissues, improves digestion, promotes the breakdown of fat deposits, and normalizes the gastrointestinal tract from toxins. 3. Ashoka Tree (Saraca Asoca)

4. Guggul Plant (Comiphora Mukul )

Guggul is resin made of a small shrub called Guggul or the so-called Commiphora Mukul tree. This plant is distributed in the northern part of India, it is a significant medicinal plant of Ayurveda. Guggul is used to combat obesity and overweight in the Indian medicinal system.

The resin extract of Guggulu is rich in guggulsterone, a property that can help to reduce the cholesterol level in the blood and stimulate the thyroid gland. It also improves the overall metabolic processes of the body and stimulates weight loss.

5. Kalmegh Plant (Andrographis Paniculata)

Kalmegh is a straight annual herb, all the parts of the plants are extremely bitter in taste. The plant is known as Maha-tikta in the northeast India region, which literally means “king of bitters”. In Ayurveda this herb it is known as Kalmegh or Kalamegha means “dark cloud.”

In Tamil Kalmegh is also known as “Nila-Vembu” which means “the neem of the ground,”. It is referred to as this little annual plant that has a similar sturdy bitter taste as that of the big Neem tree (Azadirachta indica). In Ayurveda, kalmeg is classified as a bitter tonic that rejuvenates, cleanses the body, promotes cleavage cells, and eliminates the adverse effects of obesity.

6. Gheekumari Plant (Aloe Vera)

Aloe Vera plant is named as Kumari in Sanskrit; here Kumari refers to a young girl. In Ayurveda Aloe Vera is used to stimulate metabolism, to increase the strength of digestion, to activate the processes of digestion and assimilation of fats, and to increase the level of energy.

Aloe Vera holds in several enzymes known to help in the breakdown of sugars and fats and to maintain digestion.     Very nice blog. With the growing standards of life and everything available at fingertips, the lifestyle has suffered. Ever increasing inclination towards gadgets has limited physical activity and outdoor games in common. This has certainly laid invitation to many diseases and obesity the most abundant. The part of the society most in danger are the youth. They have become couch potato which in turn has slowed their metabolism and has laid invitation to other serious health problems like diabetes at an early age and respiratory problems.
